VR birthday party ideas — Wirral & Liverpool
Most-asked questions from parents planning a VR party at Arena X VR, plus what we've learned from running hundreds of them.
What ages does it work for?
From 8+ for most games (1.2m minimum height). Sweet spot is 9–14 — old enough to follow the safety briefing, young enough to be properly amazed. Older teens love the harder 14+/16+ titles.
How long is a party?
Our Kidz Parties slot is 90 minutes — briefing, headset fitting, two game rotations, food in the lounge, cake. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your slot.
How many kids can play?
Up to 14 in one session. If your guest list is bigger, we'll split into rotations — half play while half eat, then swap.
Food and cake?
The lounge area handles food and cake. We're happy to coordinate timings; many parents bring a homemade cake and we handle the rest.
Do parents need to stay?
At least one responsible adult per party. Most parents stay in the lounge with a coffee and watch the spectator screens — it's genuinely funny to watch.
Wirral or Liverpool side?
We're in Upton, Wirral (CH49 1AB), 10 min from Birkenhead and 20 min from Liverpool via the tunnel. Free parking for 60+ cars.
What should kids wear?
Trainers and comfortable clothes — no skirts/dresses, no anything that'll catch on the backpack straps. Bring water.
